Long Haul Trucker in black with big tires

This bike sure is fun. This is the new Surly LHT in black, 56 cm frame with 26" wheels.
Surly LHT 56
We put the Schwalbe Big Apple 26x2.15 tires, fenders, and racks on it. Mongo has taken to calling this "my new LHT"... Just riding it around the block certainly conjures the imagination to thoughts of loaded tours in exotic locales, or even adventures on the more rustic roads of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, etc.

Super nice bike. I have the same bike in blue with 26"x2" Schwalbe Marathons. It's a blast to ride, but I would have waited if I'd known black was coming.

Hey, that's my size of LHT. Nice to see it doesn't look TOO weird, though I would lower the handlebars a bit.

Boy, that would be perfect for three day tours over the unpaved passes of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains. Just put a Nitto mini rack with a Wald basket and the from to carry Pendleton flannels on the ascent.

That's a nice looking bike, especially considering the price. What does it weigh?

Very light. The tubes are filled with helium.

Darn, I didn't get the helium filled tube option on mine. Is that exclusive to Hiawatha Cyclery?

Do you have any tire clearance shots? I would love to see how those fit in there.
