Special deals

Now that we're mostly caught up on our Spring repairs and tune-ups, I had some time to look around the shop with an eye toward moving inventory out the door. Here are some deals that will be available until inventory on these items becomes tolerably low.

First the bikes (local sales only):

Redline Metro-9:

A great commuting and general-purpose bike, using the same CrMo frame tubes and geometry as the popular Redline 925 single speed. Smart 1x9 gearing provides all you need for city riding, and then some, without the hassle of continually adjusting and trimming a front derailleur. Includes fenders. Available in sizes to fit almost everybody, except the extra-short or extra-tall. Was $650, now $550.

Torker T520:

A great choice for beginning cyclists and for those who desire a comfortable upright riding position. These bikes are suitable for a wide variety of uses, from fitness and commuting to moderate off-pavement trails. Sturdy aluminum frame, suspension fork and seatpost, wide-range gearing. Available in both blue and brown Step-Thru frames (size S) and in blue in a more traditional diamond frame styles (size M). Was $495, now $375.

Torker Boardwalk:

Fun city bike for cruising around the lakes or going to the store. Shimano 3-sp hub. Includes matching Basil Pannier. Was $450, now $350.

"Scratch and dent":
Actually, just scratches, no dents, as far as I know. These can be sold locally or shipped. Shipping most places in the US for about $40.

Rivendell Bleriot frameset, 55 cm, that has been around the shop for awhile, and was once built up as a complete bike on our sales floor. It has some minor cosmetic flaws, but nothing noticeable from more than 3 feet away. Essentially this is a new frame that has been test-ridden a few times and incurred some tiny accidents in the shop. MSRP was $750. This one is available for $600. We can also sell this as a complete bike, with various part spec options.

SOLD! Rivendell Sam Hillborne frameset, 48 cm. We built this up as a complete bike, sold it, and the customer rode it for a few days before noticing, astutely, that his bike was not the size he ordered. Oops! Our screw-up means that this lightly used/blemished frame is available at a discount. Note that this model has "extended frame geometry", and a 48 cm is probably bigger than you think (see here). With standover clearance of 75 cm, this is probably an appropriate size for anybody under about 5'5" down to maybe 5'0", but we can help you with sizing questions. We also have Sam Hillbornes in other sizes, but only this particular 48 cm frame is discounted. Was $1000, now $800. We can also sell this as a complete bike, with various part spec options.

Accessories and components:

Reelight SL-120 compact bike lights:
This is the flashing version, with a capacitor that keeps the light flashing for awhile after you stop. Regularly $65, now $35. We offer no warranty on these at the discounted price.
