Handbuilt Bike Show

This year the North American Handmade Bicycle Show will be held in Indianapolis Feb 27 thru March 1. In the past, this has been a west coast event, and not terribly convenient for us on the prairie. Anyway, since Indianapolis isn't that far from here, we are planning to make the 10-hour drive, see the show, and ride our bikes around Indianapolis for a couple days.

We have heard from customers and friends that there is some interest in getting a caravan together to drive to Indy and share not only good company, but also expenses for gas, lodging, etc. We at HC don't want to be responsible for making hotel reservations or anything, but we are willing to take names of who wants to go, who has a vehicle to drive, etc, so that we can coordinate and make this trip as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.

(By a strange series of events that transpired just yesterday, I find myself in need of a ride. I'm a good travel companion, with an excellent voice for singing along with Celine Dion on the radio.)

Amtrak goes pretty close to the convention center and hotels.

amtrak's not a bad idea, looks like it would cost around $120 round trip.
