Sooner or later, we're going to be getting snow and ice, and studded tires will start to seem like a good idea. A few people have asked if we still have a special price. Saturday Nature Ride
This Saturday's ride will be a Nature Ride. Nothing too technical or difficult, but not recommended for skinny-tire racing bikes either. We ride out as usual at 8 AM.
Cippiollini has suggested a train component to the ride so we can bypass the previously hazardous environs of Richfield. We'll see how it goes.

In case any of our readers are looking for a winter project for next year's 3 Speed Tour, I found a few candidates at Express Bike today.
Dunelt -- ladies 3 speed; blue; it appears to be complete; $90
Gazelle -- 25.5 inch frame; chain and skirt guard, ring lock, front and rear lights powered by a sidewall dynamo; black paint in fair shape; it looks complete and big frames are hard to find; $140
Cheers

After many interviews and auditions, we have chosen Paul "Cippiollini" Smith for this important role. Here he is trying out HC's new Lawrence of Arabia winter head gear line.

The Fun Stuff
One of the great things about working in the bike business is having the opportunity to see bicycles that have some history. A friend of mine brought in a bike that her brother had bought in Thailand on his way back from Vietnam in the early 1970's. It is branded "Skyway", and has some very early Suntour derailleurs. I have been unable to find out much about it so if anyone knows anything about these bikes, let us know.
It's basically not been ridden in all those years and needed some tires and a basic tune up. Mark was able to get everything working again, including those awesome headlamps.

We hope Lill enjoys many, many miles on her new old bike.
Cheers
