Class update

Our class series begins next Saturday and they are filling up fast. There is still space in all of them so if you want to sign up, you should do it soon. Details below.

I am also happy to announce that Curt Goodrich has agreed to lead another seminar on frame building. It will occur in late March so stay tuned for more details.
Our second annual bike repair class series will begin Saturday, 2/23. All classes will run from 8am to 12 noon so the shop will not open until after class. Shop rides will continue uninterrupted, leaving from the shop every Saturday morning at 7:45ish.

Each class will cost $60 or you can purchase the entire series of 4 for $200. Class size is limited to 6 each and if there is enough demand, additional classes can be added.
Payment is required in advance and you can call it in or stop by. Email Kevin ( with any questions or to reserve your spot. These filled up in a matter of days last year so donĂ¢€™t hesitate and sign up now.

Basic Maintenance. Saturday, February 23, 8-12 noon. We will cover a basic tune up including adjustment of gears and brakes, drive train maintenance and minor truing of wheels. Students will work on their own bikes and have them ready for the warm weather.

Basic Overhaul. Saturday, March 1, 8 - 12 noon. Expand your bike repair knowledge by learning how to overhaul the bottom bracket, headset and hubs. Student will work on their own bikes.

Wheel Building. Saturday, March 8, 8 - 12 noon. Learn to lace, tension, true and dish a wheel. Students should come prepared with the supplies necessary to build one wheel. We are offering a 10% discount on all parts purchased through us.

3 Speed Overhaul. Saturday, March 15, 8 - 12 noon. Mark Stonich has graciously agreed to teach this class for the second year, and is one of the most knowledgeable guys around on internal hubs. The class will focus on the Sturmey Archer AW hub, the most common hub out there. Students can bring a hub to overhaul or with advance notice, one can be provided.
